Gatherings & the Rhythm of Practice

Eternal Reality keeps a gentle calendar. Unlike orders bound to agricultural seasons or historical commemorations, our rhythm follows the inward cycle: regular practice, periodic deepening, and the traditional observances of the Vedantic year.

Weekly satsangs anchor the community. Monthly full-moon gatherings (purnima) are held for extended meditation — the tradition holds the full moon as especially conducive to inward turning. The great nights of the tradition are observed: Mahashivaratri, the night of Shiva, kept with all-night vigil and meditation; and Guru Purnima, honoring the lineage of teachers who carried the flame of inquiry.

Our full calendar of observances and gathering dates is at the Eternal Reality calendar. Retreats — from single silent days to week-long intensives — are announced seasonally. All gatherings are open; the only preparation required is a willingness to be still.
