Gatherings & the Turning Year
Sacred Earth keeps time the way the land keeps time. Our year is shaped by the actual movements of sun, season, and watershed — not by a calendar imposed from elsewhere.
The four hinge-days anchor everything: the winter solstice (the return of the light), the spring equinox (the greening), the summer solstice (the fullness), and the autumn equinox (the harvest and the letting-go). Each is marked with gathering, story, shared food, and silence. Between them, the order follows the local signals — first salmon, first snow, first wildflower — because reverence that ignores the actual land is just theater.
Our full sacred calendar, with dates and descriptions for every observance, lives at the Sacred Earth calendar. Restoration workdays, skill-shares, and earth-circle meetings are announced through the community channels and are open to all — bring gloves, bring food to share, bring children.
Show up at the turning of the year and you will never be a stranger to the seasons again.
