Practices
Daily
- Morning prayer: Begin with the Lord’s Prayer, slowly — letting each petition land. Follow with silence, then intercession for others. The order teaches: pray the prayer Jesus gave before composing your own.
- Scripture: Read a chapter of the Gospels daily, in sequence, on repeat for life. Lectio divina — read, meditate, pray, contemplate — turns reading into encounter.
- Examen: End the day reviewing where you saw grace and where you resisted it. Confess specifically, receive forgiveness completely, sleep in peace.
Weekly
- Lord’s Day worship: Gather for Word and Table — preaching that proclaims Christ, communion that feeds on Him. The order practices open communion: the Table belongs to the Lord, not to our gatekeeping.
- Sabbath rest: One day of deliberate non-production. The resurrection means the world does not depend on your striving; practice believing it weekly.
- Fellowship meal: Eat with believers and unbelievers alike. Jesus was accused of eating with sinners; the order takes it as a job description.
Seasonal & Sacramental
- The Christian year: Advent’s longing, Christmas’s incarnation, Lent’s honesty, Easter’s explosion, Pentecost’s fire — the story rehearsed annually until it becomes your story.
- Baptism: The initiatory plunge — buried with Christ, raised with Him. The order baptizes believers of any background into the one Body.
- Signs and tokens: The order’s embodied covenant practice — see our Signs, Tokens & Proclamations.
